Okay, here's the deal. I moved all of my game folders to a new directory (C:\Games specifically) and everything worked fine when I renamed stuff until I got to HL2. Now for some reason it's making me update my games again in order to play and the update times are RIDICULOUSLY long. I'm talking an hour for CS:S and 90 minutes for HL2. I honestly have no idea what could have changed, I cut and pasted the Valve folder from it's old location to the new one and all my patches and stuff disappeared?
Also, I don't remember spending an hour and a half updating HL2 the first time I installed...
Anyone have any idea what's up?
I just looked around in my new directory and in the Steam/SteamApps/myname folder there is all of my stuff, my save games, everything that was there before. I'm totally confused. :x
