GTA: SA Tomorrow!

I know it's supose to be the 26th that the game comes out but I just got a call from Gamestop saying I can pick up my copy tomorrow after 7:00 pm! This is good news for me because I probably wouldn't have been able to pick it up Tuesday. The goodness will start one day earlier for me

Ack...The Gamestop near me is dumb...they follow street dates all the time. The problem is...Grand Forks is small enough that the only places to get a game would be Best Buy (uhhh..no), Gamestop, and Software Etc. (now gamestop...). Whee.

They'll probablly make a PC / XBox version once the PS2 ones stop selling as well......hopefully anyway.

PS2 has rights to the game for 6 months (Exclusively) then i think PC has rights to it for another 6 months (so expect it sometime like 6 months tommorow on PC) then i think Xbox gets rights on it (dont forget, GTA has always been a Playstation game since like...forever!.)

Either way, i know it stays PS2 ONLY for 6 months minimum.

I hate how in UK, we always have to release games on a friday no matter what. I just wish my mates mate did'nt close his game shop down because he'd let me buy the games off him soon as he got his stock in (i had GT3, FF10, MGS2 all like 1 week before they got officially released, legit copies of course. *sniff*)

I heard it was 3 months this time around. I'll have to dig it up and see where I read it. Maybe it was in the big preview in my last EGM. I can't remember off hand. But I swear I saw 3 months. Anyway, it'll still be a while before we see it on Xbox.

I think a lot of stores are selling their copy today after 7. Unfortunately, my store won't get it till 8. It will kill me to think that people are playing the game while I have to wait 1 more hour.

A lot of the stores in the US have it and are selling it at 7 PM.

I'm in Canada though, Atlantic Coast, so I have to wait until tomorrow.

Well I've been playing for the last 3 hours. Picked it up early at 6pm CST. They were allowed to let it go then instead of 7pm for some reason. The game is an absolute gem. Somehow they managed to take a great game with VC and turn it into a phenomenal game with SA. Everything about it so far is fantastic. Of course visually it's somewhat disappointing, but that is due in large part to PS2's limitations. But the environments are more than convincing, and the sheer size of the land area is uncomprehensible. It could literally take a while to drive the highways from one city to another. Luckily they have major aiports in each city and after aquiring enough pilot skills, you get you licence and can fly the big planes at the airport yourself.

I can't say enough good things about this game, so if you have questions or concerns I'll answer them as best as I can. It's truly an unbelivable game.
