They have some good pics and a nice movie.

Below Hl2, of course, this is the second game i want the most, sure the graphics arent that much better than the previous GTA games, but damn, they have added so much to the gameplay, for example, now you have to eat to live, and depending what you eat and how much you exercise, your character can get fat and ugly, or you can go to the gym alot and get big and buff, and it affects not only your looks but your speed and stamina as well. The game is very much inspired by rap and hip hop music, which some people hate but I love rap, and by movies like Boyz in the Hood, which was a great movie. You now can ride bikes (yay!), you can break into homes to steal stuff, roll with your gang, graffiti paint stuff, get haircuts and tattoos, and now instead of 1 big city there 3 massive cities that are Los Santos (LA knockoff, lots of mexican gangs and black gangs) another one thats a Las Vegas knockoff, and a San Francisco knockoff. There is now no loading screens across the entire game xcept for when you go in and out of buildings, and oh yeah, its gonna come out October for the PS2 (boo), around beginning 2005 for PC (yay) and later in 2005 for xbox (yay).

So what do you people think of this game?

Thought the new Los Santos trailer was out for second there. I'm definently buying and its my second most anticipated game. By the way expect the new trailer today or tomorrow.

Well its Grand Theft Auto...what could be wrong about it? ;)

I can't wait for this game, i'll probably get it on PS2 but wont really play it much because my brother takes the PS2 to work (in the RAF, yes, he plays the PS2 whilst he is working...the luxury's of working for the british government!) and buy it on PC when it comes out, afterall some things are easier on PC, like the part in VC where you have to shoot people on a house inside a chopper with the gun...SO much easier on PC with mouse!.

I love the whole concept of GTA and it just seems that they've added a bit of Sims to it now :p Which isn't a bad thing as long as it isn't overkill and does'nt become too involved in the game...sure eating to stay alive is nice but i just hope it does'nt become crucial that you eat something 3 times a day and workout everyday so you don't become fat, but i have faith in Rockstar games and they know how to produce the goods and make a quality game :cheese:

What could be wrong about it? How about the fact you got a "Food meter" and you can get fat/skinny unless you eat right and work out. I mean.. gta is not a sim game, why have this is in?

Just the stupidest thing I've seen added onto a game, ever.

Until you know how much it matters it isnt worrying me, and it certaintly wont put me off the game. Even if it was a critical part of the game i'd still buy and play it, its not like Sims1 or 2 was a shit game.

Edit/ But i would prefer if it was'nt an absolutely critical part of the game. I'd rather it be optional and you can get along just fine without playing happy family's :p Who knows....working out could be going in the gym or alternatively, just riding a bike/running down the street on your way to kill Jonny! ;) If you can goto a drive-thru to eat so it does'nt hardly stop what you was doing then it wont be a problem...will add a constant mission to the game.

its gonna be sexy. i was on a vice kick a few weeks ago, before that all i had ever done was just mess around and ive had it since it came out. i finally beat the game though.

Thats cus Sims 1 and 2 were sim games, gta is not a sim game, and should of stayed where it was, why did they even need to had this sim thing in, will it vastly had to gameplay? Nope. It wont.

Actually it will add a lot to gameplay. You're thinking about it one dimensionally. Sure, if having to stop every so often to eat just so you won't fall down and die was all there was to it then it would be useless. But that's not at all what it is. The eating system is just one more part of Rockstars plan to increase the character customization to an almost RPG like state. It is vital to determining the fitness of your character, as well as a few other aspects. The fitness of your character directly affects what he can do and how well he can do it, so yes it does affect gameplay.

 GTA:San Andreas is going to be the best one yet! I am guessing "Verona Beach" is Long Beach. Woot. Time to visit my house in GTA!

In GTA:VC the more you ran the longer you could run. Probably a similar idea.

You misunderstood my post, I did not say it would'nt effect gameplay, I said it would not add gameplay, in any good any at any rate. Who on earth wants rpg stuff in gta, if I wanted to play an rpg, i'd go play, well, an rpg.

Who the hell wants RPG stuff? Well, I do for one. I'm also sure that Rockstar focus group tested the hell out of these ideas before implementing them in one of the most successful games of all time, so other people do too.

It adds depth, which is something GTA needs. My favorite addition to VC was buying property and being able to change your clothing style, even though it was implemented in a very rudimentary way it still added a sense of having control of your character.

I don't see it being completely detrimental to the game. As long as after I have finished the story missions I can turn it off so I can just drive around creating havoc. I played for a much greater time just doing random stuff than story missions and if I have to make Carl eat every 10 minutes then I am afraid I will not enjoy it anywhere near as much.

I didn't care much about properties (apart from save points) or changing clothes(apart from cops) so I doubt I will be interested much in going to the gym on a regular basis.

The thing that worries me most, apart from the crappy action system (press button for auto-targeting? No thanks!) and the stupid, pointless eating system is the fact that it'll just be too damned big. I'm not entirely confident Rockstar will have filled all this new space with worthwhile content.

Plus, I liked knowing exactly where I was going on VC.

Nice to see people moaning about how certain gameplay elements won't add to the game... without having PLAYED THE DAMN GAME.

Well, that'd be Rockstar's own fault for creating a marketing machine that tried to hype it as something fantastic.

If you go to the Rockstar website, and you enter the flash animated GTA SA site and you explore Los Santos neighborhood, there are lots of small video clips from action in the game, check it out its really cool.
