GTAIV 'promos' in your areas?

I thought we'd check out what stores are doing to promote the release of GTAIV everywhere.

Here in Stockholm, Webhallen are opening at 00.01 GMT+1 to sell the game, first 10 people in line to buy it gets to buy a PS3(Or 360) of their choice + GTAIV for 0.1 euro.

Isn't that where people lined up a couple weeks in advance?

Think of the wages they could've had if they worked even half the weekdays they were sitting out there :|

Yup it is, but my guess is msot of them lining up are either unemployed or students.

Hahah! Thats a sh!t deal. Really bad actually. Its not even a deal as far as I can see! It does not even say if there is a DS3 included! There may be one in every 40GB bundle now, I don't know, but it makes more sense to just keep your PS2 and games and just buy the system and GTA IV outright.

Every EBGamestop that I know of near me in eastern Pennsylvania is inviting people to come in at like 6:30 for the festivities even though they won't sell any units until midnight. Like hell I will be going that early. I will pay it off on the way home then head back sometime after 11. What a joke.

Yeah right, Gamestop is being very generous with that ad/promotion. To get even $300 for that on eBay you'd have to be very lucky and have some pretty damn good/new PS2 games. A used PS2 would be about $70-80 for the slim, or $50-60 for the fat one, and around $12-15 for each game. That's if you sell each game and the system seperately, if you sell them all together on eBay it would go for a lot less.

The local GameStop is going to be open at midnight... that's it. I plan to there there around 10pm with a couple friends.

Just saw one of the midnight release events here on telly, looked pretty mild to be honest. About five guys sitting around playing CoD 4 and awkwardly talking about hookers to the camera, lol. Kind of wishing I'd showed up to one now, seeing how tame they are... would've just grabbed my copy and gapped it.

Oh well. Don't let me down, Mr. Courier Man. D:
