im freaking out because of the recent pcg U.S that did an article on it and they interviewed the creators who are orginally from blizzard and worked on warcraftII diablo II ect. and now that blizzard got bought this showed up Guild Wars is a free massively multiplayer mmorpg they will make money by chargeing for LARGE content updates every few months seems impossibl... but from such a talanted team I nearly am dying with anticipation :E

especially since they boasted the combat was like diablo but with much better graphics and actual tactics are needed... wow no more wait to attack ok enemy attack style crap it up tactics that ruin great mmorpg's imo

They're going to charge for content updates? That's lame. I thought it was going to free all the way.. =/

..or, are the "content updates" more-so expansions (that add new land, etc) you can buy in stores? Or what? I don't think I'd mind buying an expansion every few months, but paying with a CC for content sounds lame.


..either way, WoW is gonna pwn Guild Wars, but, if GW gets good reviews, I'll be picking it up as well

omg the screenshots for guild wars are sexy. That is one of the best looking games I have ever seen. The fantasy style "glow" shader is incredible and surreal. Looks like it'll be one awesome game... Visually at least.

they are content updates as in an expansion load but they dont make them all retail like eq :stare:

new land, npc's, items in a large bunch (theyre will be regular content added at times) but the expansion worthy stuff has a small fee to download

who knows about world of warcraft... who atm is working on it from the orginal blizzard team!?

heh well GW will have the continued support from the cool founders of arena (orginal guys from blizzard ) so il wait for reviews on both..

no mmo atm is worth paying for AT ALL imo....
