I'm sure a few people here play GW still...
So, I decide to pick it up again after a very long time of inactivity. I only have prophecies (the original game), and I am utterly lost. I'm pretty sure I stopped playing shortly after they instituted Faction points, allowing PvP only players to get skills/items... A few questions:
Can someone summarize the changes in each of the two new games, and which would be best to get (probably not both). Keep in mind that Mesmer is my favorite class by leaps and bounds, followed by monk. (If the expansions differ in benefit towards classes) In fact, Mesmer is probably my favorite class in any game of this type... ever.
Best site for builds, discussion, etc?
Is the game far more enjoyable with a guild, or is it just as well to run the PvP and RP campaigns with just say my brother, random folks, or even just plain henchmen? How is one supposed to find a guild for them among the bajillion that exist...?
Anyway, I do enjoy it though I haven't done any more than random arenas on a few different classes. I have a decent amount of skills unlocked at least, though obviously no where near the competition.
