What are your recent guilty pleasures in music.

I personally like Umbrella, by Rihanna. Rihanna is hot, btw. But I like it because it's rather catchy.

And I also caught this song on the radio called Beautiful Girls by Sean Kingston. It was OK.

How about j00?

Pure Imagination from Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory

Gah! I hate that song so much. To me, it's worse than a broken record.

My guilty pleasure is probably worse though. I still listen to this song by Avril Lavigne. :p

I just found out yesterday that I like Dave Matthews Band

I didn't know Gorillaz was a guilty pleasure? In that case they're on my list too

Also: Bond theme songs

Country music. It's all my friend in Aus had on their (mum's car's) CD player. After listening to it for a good part of two weeks I started humming along to a couple...

hey, BOND THEME SONGS ROCK!! especially the chris cornell and garbage stuff..

Ive also come to like some of the MCR first album stuff. Oh dear indeed.

Girls Aloud & Justin Timberlake.

That said, Sexyback & Something Kinda Ooh are mighty tunes.

I am not afriad of music/social stature.

/defiant pose.

Gorillaz and Bond themes shouldn't be guilty pleasures. Everyone knows they're both awesome.

The Fray - How to save a life

Don't quote me on it though.

I will quote you. are you trying to say that they suck? personally, I have their whole album and I think they are as good as bands like coldplay ect.

I like Coldplay. But I don't like The Fray. Boring as hell. And the singer sounds like he's mumbling drunkly when he sings.

He's like the autistic dude from Radiohead except without the talent.

Girls Aloud...
My Chemical Romance...
Fallout Boys old stuff...
Imogen Heap...
Muse...
Jason Mraz...
Lazytown songs...
Hairspray musical...
Lesley Gore...
Bobby Vinton...
Tegan and Sara...

I'am humiliated... Hope your happy! (runs away crying)

muse? a guilty pleasure..

and i still think the fray is a fantastic band

Pff, ever since Muse went slightly mainstream everyone's been dumping on them... atleast I was into them back when it was cool :D

I enjoy Linkin Park's old albums.

If by that you mean Hybrid Theory and like four songs off Reanimation, I agree to an extent, though it's a little painful to listen to knowing what the band is.

I like Michelle Branch :D

Oh, that reminds me, I need to find that one Michelle Branch song that was overplayed to **** on radio. I remember it having really sweet drums and I wanted to figure out who played on it ^_^

I thought of another one.

Smash Mouth.

No joke. Astro Lounge is full of really great music and a lot of good nostalgia for me. Like an overwhelming number of mainstream bands (even ones that are a bit contemporary), if you look past the singles, it's not uncommon to find an album's worth of awesome songs.

Muse have always been, or have been going in the direction of, a mainstream band, as with all alternative rock artists. Im afraid you are wrong about 'everyone' dumping them, their popularity has never been higher, and ever since playing that spectacular performance at Glastonbury in 2004, as well as brilliantly headling Leeds and Reading Festival and a literally mind-blowing performance at Wembly (I know because i was there), they are now one of the most well-known bands in Europe, if not the world.

The thing seperates Muse from many of bands is the fact that they expand on what they have try different things, known progressive rock, they went from early days in Showbiz, to a more darker and riff orrientated Origin of Symmetry, to a more appocaliptic meets romatic pianist style in Absolution to the now, electronica and sci-fi style of Black Holes and Revelations. It keeps it more interesting, rather than other bands just doing the same style over and over and over (which aint a bad thing in some cases).

So maybe you strayed from them, but that does not mean everyone has.
