The Guitar Grip will plug into the Game Boy Advance slot at the bottom of the Nintendo DS system. Players put their hand through the strap of the Guitar Grip for a firm hold on the system, and then position the system in its vertical book form. The peripheral has a storage area for a specially designed stlyus pick, which is used to strum the guitar strings on the touch-screen. As the notes slide down the screen, players strum the strings while pressing the corresponding fret buttons, all to the rhythm of the song that's being played. According to the video released by Activision, the microphone comes into play during songs -- we're guessing it'll be used as control to activate Guitar Hero's "Star Power" mode to increase the points multiplier.

I am not a big fan of GH, and will not be impressed by this.

Sounds like an interesting try for GH handheld but too fricking outlandish for it's own good. My DS has enough games as is.

Although I still haven't picked up Pokemon...

I think it sounds potentially awesome. Seems a little awkward right now though....

W...t...f? I am so getting this. It seems kinda uncomfortable, though.

Awesome. The controller actually looks pretty confortable and, more importantly, quite compact. Hopefully the price is just as impressive.

I didn't think it was possible, but the trailer for actually is cheesier than the GH2 PS2 one. Congratulations, Vicarious Visions.

I swear the mission statement for these ads is to make it appear as awkward and dorky as humanly possible. Why not just some friends hanging out and playing it casually, you know, laughing along and generally enjoying themselves instead of looking like some ACDC rejects with what could in all nerdly possibility be a Nintendo Powerglove? Maybe even - stop me if I'm crossing any plausability barriers here - sitting.

Considering it's suppose to be a portable machine, carrying that extra thing around for only GH hero doesn't fit well with the portable theme.

But personally, I think you're just better off saving the money and buy the console / PC version. I mean you're basically going to get a gimped version of it.

Eh, I like Daigasso! Band Brothers approach to the DS music/rhythm games.

What are you insane? It does not get any better then stopping a meteor with the power of rock.

Also, what AiM said, it kind of takes away from the whole portable theme. Just go buy the actual game >_>

Actually, after I got over the "cool!" factor, I realised I already have this on PS2 and am thoroughly bored of it.

So meh.
