Gunman Chronicles serial code works for half life?

I researched a bit into this, gunman chronicles is a third party software not owned by valve and they bought the rights for the half life engine. The game is played on WON which is soon going, going, gone. I've heard that if you get gunman with the 4-5-4 serial code type key (meaning its like 4444-55555-4444) that this key can be used for half life, counterstrike, opposing force etc. I am just looking for verification here, if this is true or not.

Right, I just tried it and I believe it would have worked if it wasn't for the fact that some bugger has already used my CD-Key. It's probably been generated by a key generator or something and someone's registered it to Steam. ****tards.

What type of box do you guys have, is it the DVD style one or the old skool cardboard kind.
