Guys Please Help!!!! Im Screwed

Right guys heres my problem, when trying to connect to steam, i found that it kept crashing, or not responding everytime i tried. I tried to uninstall halflife 2 and steam but to no prevail, in a mass panick and not thinking, i deleted my entire valve folder (idiot). So with that i tried to remove steam from my add/remove but only to meet an error and thus cannot get rid of it. I tried then to uninstall the game from my halflife 2 disk, when trying this it came up with an error message of 'This action is only valid for products that are currently installed'

What do i do, i can reinstall, uninstall or play it. I have emailed valve but as yet have had no reply, any ideas????

BTW if it helps to know, there are still valve folders in my registery but i dare not touvh them without knowing what to do.

Im stuck for ideas and cannot play hl2 or css, this is a cry out for help

delete ur whole valve file and then reinstall steam then hl2

Anyway, have you tried re-installing Steam in another folder? Like C:\Steam instead of C:\Program Files\Steam ?
Maybe then it'll work...

Idiotic as i may be, clever i was my next move. I looked through my registery and deleted all valve folders. Works like a charm now, hav to download all the updates now...fun
