Bunch of things that make the Director look stupid. In fact you can beat the first part in 40 seconds: http://www.viddyou.com/viddstream?videoid=45434

Some commands you can use are:

* sv_cheats 1 - Must be done first for any of these to work.
* god 1 - Enables god mode - cannot be hurt
* noclip - Enables/disables flying around
* nb_blind 1 - Makes the zombies unable to see you (they can still sense when you touch them)
* nb_delete_all - Clears all infected/infected bosses/Survivors
* z_add - Adds a single infected. We bound this to a key to do the above video.
* z_spawn bossname - Spawns a boss infected at your crosshairs. Put whatever boss name you wish: tank, boomer, smoker, witch, hunter
* give weaponname - Equips your with that weapon
* cl_drawhud 0 - So you can't see the HUD
* r_drawviewmodel 0 - Makes your weapon invisible

Valve is getting sloppy. They might as well let us test the entire game if they're too lazy to remove all this code from the demo.
 
But this isn't a traditional "demo".

A traditional demo is "Check out our awesome game that you can't live without and must buy!"

This demo is "Here is an early taste of what you already bought, and to make sure we have a smooth release on launch day."
 
I don't understand why this makes the AI director look bad? Because you can respawn everything and play in your own maps? Aren't a lot of these cheats common in Source multiplayer games?
 
If I remember correctly, the Crysis demo let you spawn every vehicle, weapon, and monster in the game. You were supposed to only be able to play the first level, with no vehicles, and one weapon.
 
That's correct Pesmerga, and some things in the Crysis demo were cut in the full version!

He is talking about the 40 seconds vid, which uses an exploit to bypass a large chunk of the map. It's an unintended route so the AID sits there doing nothing, probably thinking you are still in the safe area.

That's a bit harsh although everyone might have been better off with a TF2 style beta on 50-100% of the No Mercy campaign instead.
 
You can noclip and go through the other maps. If you get to the finale DO NOT, I REPEAT DO NOT RADIO FOR HELP. It crashes the game because those files arn't in the demo buggering out the game. *In fact it's quite fun spawning tons of zombies and watching the bots get eaten alive. Meanwhile your high off the ground.
 
How can you noclip through all the maps when we've only got demo versions of the first two?
 
They leave in files just like the Infected side. Btw people are saying there is zombie dog files. :rolling:
 
There are only two maps files in the demo. Unless you are talking about being able to noclip and explore past the 2nd safe room (the demo cuts the 2nd map short), but that wouldn't include the finale that is on the 5th map.

Btw had anybody seen the NPC sound files? I love the church guy. Btw there is a parking garage in Airport.
 
The sounds folder is pretty interesting there are some from other campaigns they've left in e.g. Dead Air, there is the plane crashing sound. AciD showed me it, turn up your bass and listen to the clip it's pretty impressive.
 
I guess I'll have to start a little no clipping in the 2nd level tonight. I'm curious as to what it looks like, plus I saw some posters I wanted a closer read on. I love the little things like that in the levels.
