Had a good DoD:S day?

well my day started out on ennui's server, it was ennui, ocybrmano, and me (i think that was all from here) and we were killing everything in sight. a few maps later ennui decides to keep switching back and forth between the germans and the US...so for a while i was use to seeing ennui on my side then the next thing i knew he was killing me...traitor...other than that i had a decent day with an above average score on most of the maps.

Yes, I should know the IP because I crashed out to the desktop either in-game or before joining about 6 or 7 times, total, when the server was on anzio. The IP is burned into my memory through repetition...

I was playing DOD yesterday & it all started pleasant enough, got into a good server, getting some decent kills, but then it all started to get rather laggy, I was getting the multiple reload animations & then finally I got the old "Game locks up with looping sounds & is almost impossible to get out of without a reboot" glitch.

It's very annoying as I moved my soundcard to a higher slot the other day, which seems to have stopped this happening on HL2 & my system is more than capable of handling DOD on top whack!

Submitted a bug report though, so lets see if it gets fixed! anyone know any other ways of stopping this?

I had some problems the day of the release, had to delete local content and redownload twice, but once i got over that and it worked i was having a BLASTY!!
I then converted my iceworld css server to a dods server
dex.nuclearfallout.net:27015
and everyone started joining and filled it up. The day was awesome other then some of my own ISP issues where i get a few lag spikes to like 130 then it goe sback down to like 15.

I had one of those within 10 minutes of playing on a server and i blamed it on my ram which i cant get running stable, i relaxed the timings to cas 3.0 and had a few hours blasting away there so don't be soo quick to blame dod, cs or the source engine as a whole. In fact all my game crashes are down to my ram

I used to have the same problem (sounds similar anyway).. my sound card would slightly pop out of the slot everyone once in a while and cause it.

I just wanted to say that I generally dislike Multiplayer, but since I've started DOD:S I'm really hooked. I love the look and feel of it, it just feels great in general.

Oh, and not much to tell from my experience, although that 1 shot, 2 kill thru german heads as a rifleman the other day was really orgasmic

I have a hard time with the BAR unless it's on semi-auto. I prefer MGness.

Nothing like getting a good spot, setting up and MURDERING everyone who comes in sight.

I love the rocket launcher man, but nothing beats like smacking a mger or a sniper over the head with a shovel/knife.... The knife stab from behind is so nice, and the shovel smack is just hilarious. I always love raiding buildings and sneaking up on them snipers, its just something about stealth and killing a potentially dangerous entity that makes my heart warm, that and publically humiliating people on the same spot 3 times- well that's just gold.
