Half life 2 and counter strike sound problem

I got half life 2 and CS together, but it does not let me use all 4.1 of my speakers lol, it will only use the front 2 and not the back 2 or the bass. Plaese someone help me, i have tryed everything with my settings. Someone must have had the same problem?

Do the 4:1 speakers work ok with other games?
Also try checking that is setup for 4:1 in Start/settings/control panel/sounds and multimedia.
You could try "google" and type in the problem and see what comes back.

Tryed all that, i think it is the game. and it works with the other games.

yeh i had problems like that, solution: use earphones

Earphones suck! lol anyway, if it stays a prob ill have to put up with not havin surround sound

u can get surround sound Earphones :thumbs:
