Something that just came to me, the release for Half Life and Doom 3 are in the same naberhood oct to dec area so I think that VU deladed the game to compeat with Doom 3

so what do you think abought that

Why the hell would they want to do that? Competition is bad for retailers, its good for us consumers, but corporations try to avoid them if at all possible, if anything Doom 3 would try to come out so HL2 wouldn't dominate unchallenged.

half life 2 comes out on september 30th
and doom is like 2004

Doom 3 has no release date ATM but it won't be out this year for sure, probably late next year to be realistic.

i don't think that is a reason. Just more or less a consequence of the delay. There is still enought time between the two i think. Don't forget the Doom3 is most likely also delayed back half a year or so ;)

Some rumours say Doom3 will be released in Q1 2004, so something like March 2004. But there's absolutely no guarantee; it might as well be much later.

HL2 will be with us before D3. What would make me laugh is if DNF comes out BEFORE both of them, hence keeping it's promise of beeing the greatest game ever on release. Just something ELSE to think about :p
