Hey guys, I have recently encountered a problem in HL2 where I can play for about a minute before the graphics start glitching which then makes the monitor go blank with that goddam looping sound in the background. This forces a hard restart of the computer and it dosn't leave an error message. This problem does not happen with Episodes 1 and 2 which I can play fine on max settings and I have been able to play Half Life 2 fine for over a year now. I have updated to the latest video card drivers but this does not seem to help. Here are my system spec:
Pentium 4 3.06 GHz
1 GIG of RAM
Geforce 8600 GT
Windows XP
