Okay, Here's the deal. When I am looking at models from certain angles, I get these strange stripes. As far as I know, these are not artifacts. I think they must be some kind of graphical glitch or whatever but I have no idea how to fix it.
I don't think they are artifacts or that they're because of a crappy videocard since mine is a Radeon 9600 XT and my computer SHOULD be working just fine since I bought it last February, Plus other new games (Doom 3?) work just fine.
I don't think it's the anti-aliasing problem since I turned that off in the options screen and it doesn't look like the problem other people have.
Here are 2 screens.

Please help! Thanks alot!

Gimion.

P.S. : I know the pictures are from Vampire : The Masquerade bloodlines but it's exactly the same problem as in Half-Life 2 and Counter-strike : Source.

This kind of error happens a few times, its got a name

Unfortunately I don't remember more than that. I did get it a couple of times but that was with a Geforce4MX. Update your drivers though, might help.. Or downgrade them.

that only happens to me when i try to overclock my video card (ati)
may be the drivers that nivida is giving out is pushing the limits of the core and memory speeds

Well the gaqme is extremely buggy (but damn good!). I get those errors too, but not so often. I have a 9800pro, and i haven't overclocked it a bit. Just wait for a patch.

Yeah, those are artifacts that show up when I overclock way too far. I don't get them anywhere else though. Might want to try screwing around with drivers, maybe the Omega drivers work better?
