Half life 2 Error! NOooooo

Ok i finally got my new rig...

Here are the Details...:

3.00 GHZ
513 RAM
Video Driver: NVIDIA GEforce FX 5500 ( i updated these before i ran half life 2)
DX 9.C
And my video card has 256 MB..

But heres the problem. I launch the game i go to new game. and then it all loads i see the GMAN ect... i exit the train i see a MP Hitting a Citizen into a couble of suitcases and then BAM an error comes up!. Internal Driver Error in IDirect 3D Devise9: Present() now im really angry about this because the main point of my new rig was to play half life 2 lol.. but as i said i upgraded my drivers and i downloaded DX 9.C and this error still comes up! can someon help thanks!

yeah i think i fixed it... i have to save like every 5 mins.. then the error dont show?? hmmmm!
