It seems like this forum is already dieng and Half life 2 isnt even released yet!!! How many people think the death of this forum (Fewer than 100 people posting a day.) is immeninent?

I stay out of the halflife discussion forum and I know there are others who spend more time in the other forums as well. Way too many people taking things way to seriously for my tastes. Not to say there aren't interesting discussions, but they seem to get lost in the mess.

I think the reason its slowing down is because all the uncertainty over release dates etc is gone. Before it was constant speculation about day/month now its just a few lamers wondering if it'll be unlocked at 23:59 or 00:01.

For all the complaining it was the speculation that made the place interesting. I've only been a casual poster here but before the date was announced I used to check for news 3 or 4 times a day, nowadays I'd barely check that many times in a week.

Therefore I propose that Valve never release the game, for the good of the community.

Oh yeah and those people posting threads like 'which nostril will you smell the box with first' are probably doing their share in driving people away

the prima guide is out now and spoilers are pouring outta the woodwork, hell even a couple of the topic titles are spoilers
