Hello, I am gonna be running hl2 on my l33t laptop -_-.

Anyways which drivers do you guys except to be the best for HL2 to be run on for Radeon cards?

Im currently usin Omega drivers for my 6800 are they any better then the default drivers ( i know they say they are)

i have a laptop, and whenever i try to install the omega drivers or other new ones my 3DMark score goes down, not up. Is this because i already have the most up to date drivers, or could it have something to do whith me not knowing how to uninstall old driver and jsut writting over the old ones, or could it be cause i have a Dx 8.1 card and the new drivers are optimized for Dx9?

well Default drivers for cards r crap, always out of date using the drivers that come with the CD. Persoanlly i like to use offical ones, but i might start to use 3rd part ones, because i have heard good things abou them!

CATS dont work with Mobile radeon cards, while all omega drivers do.

The 3rd party "drivers" are really just 3rd party control panels for the most part. Sometimes they mix in an older version of certain DLLs, but they are really mostly the exact same thing.

So, a question for everybody, are you using Catalyst or Omega? And why? I'm using Omega because... Well, I think they are better (altough I don't have any proff of it... )

im using omega cause they said it gives the nvidia card the smoothness or soemthing it needs...
