Half life 2 hand models

Hello, so heres my situation. I have modelled and skinned a few weapon models I'd like to replace the normal half life 2 weaponry with, but in order to make custom animations I'll need the hl2 hand models.

I'm using 3dsmax and I've no clue how to get the hand models out of hl2, if anyone could tell me how I would do that, or even just send me the hands, it would be a great help :)
 
u cant, unless u ask some1 nicely to export to .xsi or motionbuilder formats, so u can import either of them (probably need plugins too) unless u want just the geometry without any bones. hl2 hands are xsi files, since valve didnt use max
 
Actually I finally found a way to do this. I used milkshape to import the hl2 weapon .smd files and then I could export to a format 3dsmax recognized.
