Half Life 2 Install Issue

Hi
When I try to install half life steam installs ok, but when the half life installer loads up, no buttons function(Next,Cancel, and the Close button). Anyone any idea whats causing this?

P.S I know my disc isn't damaged as it installs ok on another machine.
