Half Life 2 Motion Sickness

Hello.

I played halflife 2 game and thought it is very cool game. The problem is that after three hours of game contiunation, I felt sick and almost threw up at cyber game. I played so hard that I did not realized I was about to throw up.

Did anyone have same experience?

That's awesome! HL2 is a game so hardcore, you can't play it for more than three hours without vomiting.

this is quite common, there's a lot of threads about it.

it even happened to me, i've been playing games for 12 years and never experienced something like this

it went away after a few hours and never came back.

make sure you don't play at a low refresh rate - makes it worse.

Good refresh rate is 75hz as there is less if at all flickering of the screen (which can be easily seen through tv-cameras for example).

Never had this problem of vomiting.

It could possibly be the vehicle segment that is causing this.

They say the reason is that the Point of View (POV) in Half Life 2 is about 75 degrees so you are basically restricted to a tunnel vision mode.

FYI, CS: Source has 90 degrees POV. Humans have 180 degrees POV.
