Half-life 2 preloading today

HL/2 pre-load will begin tomorrow. It was ready yesterday, but we decided to use the bandwidth to get out the VST first since I get pelted with zillions of questions from people asking how their PC will run Half-Life 2.

Well, you are 12 hours late. I've given up trying to post news, with so many people on these forums it's almost impossible to post new news, unless you happen to refresh a site as it updates. Even then, you have to be fast.

I went to bed specifically so I wouldn't have to read "VALVE late again!!1" threads at 3.01am (It was meant to be unlocked at 3am in the UK).

you should have been around an hour after it was activated ...more bitching than a diva convention (it's too slow, valve suxs, it's not working!!!, this thing on my neck is getting bigger....the usual complaints) ..seriously some of the cs fanboys need a lesson in patience

"!!!!1" is a typo, much like "Pwned" or "Teh". I first saw the "!!!!111one" thing in an online comic, then started using it myself.

Hopefully all this preloading means HL2 will go gold soon. TBH, i could care less about CS:S, it was the video test in it that i wanted, and i'm not willing to shell out $30.00 to get CZ just for a beta of something i'll eventually get for free with HL2. I guess HL2's release date depends on CS:S, though...and whether or not there are any bugs. Lets hope that there aren't a lot, and if there are that they are fixed quickly! :thumbs:
