Half-Life 2 Vista sound loop problem

Well, just got Orange Box for PC, and installed Half-Life 2 for starters.
Started it up and it froze at the loading screen. I looked the problem up on the internet, and found a result: change launch settings for HL2 to "-32bit". Did it, and I can get through fine now.

When I get through almost through the first part of Point Insertion, when you are going up to the gate to Nova Prospekt (before Barnie asks you to follow him), the game crashes and the sound starts to loop.

PC Specs:
Windows Vista 64-bit
nVidia GeForce GTX 280
Intel Core 2 Duo Q9550 2.83GHz
4 gigs of Ram
