Half-Life 3: Headcrabs (flash)

Just watched it, sheer brilliance, good job and make some more!
 
Why is it HL3? That doesn't make any sense, the lab was destroyed.

Anyway, the movie had very few parts that made me laugh. The headcrabs arguing who could jump higher was funny. Some of the choice of sentences were funny.

But otherwise, the artwork was nothing to brag about, and you need to learn how to lip sync... Use streaming sound fool! Not event sound! First law of Flash!
 
Well I have made 2 other half life movies, this was the third one about black mesa therefor it's called half-life 3. By the way, today I started making on the fourth part, I have only created a room with a desk, computer, keyboard and mouse :P

Well, you can clearly see the results of event sound in the video. The mouths are way off from the voices. With streaming sound, each bit of the sound plays on the frame it's assigned to, which keeps everything syncronised if for some reason the animation lags a bit due to various reasons.
 
i remember a few months ago i saw the second one, the first one looks like you drew it with your left hand.
 
have you noticed that all these are even about is him shooting scientists,
the first and second ones he just talked for half a minute(6 seconds in the first) and he killed a scientist
this is about the same thing but he moves and kills a few more
i beat half life, blue shift, and opposing force. i am working on hl2
 
I got a daily second place on that site once, and weekly 4th (for the same toon)

Nice animation!
 
Love the headcrabs talking to each other. Not bad.

Woah.. lol. How did you escape the Caps filter? Anyway, that wasn't his point, lol. It's a common expression meaning it looks pretty bad.

In your case someone would say "looks like you drew that with your right hand"

Relax :)
 
the idea is good, and I liked the sound synchronisation but... number one, the plot was just random (eh...?) and number two, the animation could be improved upon a lot. Try and use interesting textures rather than simply merging two colours. You could even take them straight out of HL1... Oh, and there was one more thing. People generally tend to bend their knees when they walk :S

Other than that, it was good; I love watcching flash movies :)

I am going to go crazy if this thing doesn't load.


edit: I didn't even finish watching it because it was so bad. It was just a bunch Of horribly timed mp3s from HL2. Then when the "Boss" said ECscape....That was the time i made my way over to a small red box in the upper right hand corner of the window.
 
Fairly funny, crap animations, but makes it funnier. Ironic all the voice overs lol

Thanks for your excellent opinion. I am sure the creator will do much better from now on, thanks to your great help.
 
That was pretty good. But I was anticipating for Barney to give that scientist who got his snot all over him a swirly instead of simply shooting him. I felt dissapointed when it didn't happen.
 
That wasnt too bad, but I have one thing to say. BARNEY HAS AIMBOT!!! BAN HIM!!!!!!!!!
 
hmm...pretty good :)
u had the right idea with the headcrabs talking to each other....the washroom scene came out of left field :p
anyway good stuff.
