Half Life and its mods

So I was getting nostalgic, and thought about playing through some old HL mods, but I have no idea how to do that anymore now that everythings on steam. Can I still install mods for the original Half Life if I install it on steam? And do mods like Sven Coop work online anymore? Sorry this all probably sounds stupid but I'm unsure here.:monkee:

If they have an active community, chances are that they work well on all Windows OS'. Same applies to Online multiplayer.

Try Moddb for names of the mods.

If you go into Steam\steamapps\[email protected]\ you should find the Half-Life directory, looking exactly the same as it did before Steam came out. After this point you should be operating on instinct alone.

The Specialists still has a few up, love jumping on that from time to time. Other than that I really don't know what's survived.
