Half-Life Changing Game Crashes

When I play Half-Life it has this problem where it crashes after changing game from the main one.(Such as switching from Half-Life to Blue Shift.) It doesn't crash immediately it crashes about 5-15 seconds after it changes or it just crashes in the middle of loading game. I figured out how out get around this by placing the shortcut on my desktop. However...Sven-Co Op doesn't have a shortcut and neither does decay! I really want to play them but it crashes! Not even an error message!

Just launch them from My games. The Change Game option shouldn't show up in Steam.

I have the non-steam version. And how do I launch it from "My Games"? It didn't come with a launcher.
