A few of you may have remembered playing Half-life: Decay on your PS2 version of HL. Many people however, have STILL not played it. Even the most avid of HL fans I know has never even HEARD of it.
Here's the thing. If you haven't played it yet, you are missing out on a big chunk of the storyline. For example, it goes further in-depth about the type of experiments the black mesa scientists were conducting before the big cascade. That's just one example. There are a plethora of small details to be found in the modest little expansion.
I know people here have dissected Opfor, blue shift, and the original HL to the core trying to piece together the story line and make sense of it. I NEVER see any mention of the pieces of the puzzle decay has to offer. How can you expect to figure out the equation with a whole portion of it missing?
Bottom line: it would be a good idea to play and beat decay before HL2 comes out.
