Half-Life Dreamcast - Mod Release

Apparently the failed Dreamcast version featured level designs and NPD models that were different to anything found in the PC version, or even the PS2 version. Never been extremely fond of Gearbox's redesigns of the enemies, but it could be worth checking out. I really must write up a to-play list.

I remenber I once read a article about halflife on dreamcast in a magazine,but I didnt know what halflife was at that time,dam I feel old

I remember it being a sad day when I heard that my favourite game would not, after all, get ported to a console I admired a lot and was considering buying. The uniqueness of the DC version had been much-touted and it was reportedly in advanced development at the time it was canned. The cancellation just rammed home the message of how badly the DC was performing and played a part in me never bothering to get one.

It's a nice tribute that these guys have decided to pay by releasing this. Even so, I probably won't be playing it unless people here say it's unmissable. I've replayed HL1 countless times on PC since those days of old and imagine playing this will, at best, be like eating Pringles Light instead of Pringles.

From the look of the screenshots, there isn't much difference.... ok, the textures are better looking but thats about it. There are HD mods out there that do the same, so why bother? Think I'll do the same as Laivasse, I'll only bother if people say that there is actually something different and worthwhile about it.
