I just recently got HL2, and it's been working fine and everything, but I also have the original Half-life, which was not installed on this computer yet. I installed it and let steam do its updates, but now when I begin a new game it just gets to a certain point with the train and gives me some sort of "texture alignment" error. Does anyone have any idea what is going on here? Also, when I try to use the training room, it never actually loads.
I was going to go copy the message exactly as it shows it, but it's so messed up that it won't even give me consistent errors, lol. Now it just freeezes when it gets there. Basically there was a bunch of garbled stuff after "texture" and then "align 16" or something like that (maybe something having to do with 16 bit color?). I don't know what the heck is going on, hopefully someone else can help?
