1. Since Gabe mentioned today about hl1 on Source (i call it HL Reloaded), i wonder if the physics will be enabled on the '98 phenom (i.e. will entities be manipulatable?). If so, it would be cool to add the manipulator to hl1 in a mod. wow, the original hl1 would be very cool to play all over again.

2. will anyone play hl1 again before hl2 comes out?

3. will anyone play hl reloaded before hl2?

Yes, it will use the physics, thats why its being ported on source in the first place. I'm also thinking they;re going to re-do the models and textures, because CS: Source appears to have these redone aswell.

Oh, and I will play "HL Reloaded" (as you call it) before playing 2 if they release it same time :)

i won't, cause its gonna come out some time after hl2 from what i understood, if they come at the same time, defenately, hl1 source 1st

I've heard both pretty frequently amoung the talks today... but I hope that what I first heard is correct (because I think it is) that Half-Life: Source and Co. will release the same time as HL2

I'll wait to see what 'HL1 Reloaded' is really like before making up my mind on. It has the potential to be either really cool (worth paying a budget price for) or a cheap ripoff.

I'll do a Half-Life Marathon: Playing HL1, OpFor, BS, and HL2 one after the other... yeah baby!!

THat's the way to do it, I think i'll do the same.

I can see it now, the reveiws for HL2 are delayed for a week or two because the reveiwers wanted to do the same, haha

i haven't played hl1 sp in so long. looks like i'll be waiting. i just hope it doesn't get too expensive. it would be reasonable for $20 - hl1, op4, tfc on source. because everyone already owns them anyway. some ppl may only be willing to pay $10 for them.

I just wanna see that CS: Source video but it's bitorrent. What's so special about that? Tell me, please...I'm starting to get headaches from it.

I have read on several sites that we will have to pay for the Half-Life Redux with the source engine. I understand paying for a NEW Half-Life game, but having to pay for an older game is ABSURD. Do I remember correctly that Gabe said himself that it takes very little time to transfer half-life 1 maps to source?

Take heed my friends. Greed is a fat demon with a small mouth and whatever you feed it is never enough.

It's CS, only with Half-Life 2's water, physics and graphics. Basically, I'd call it CS2, if the real CS2 weren't also coming up.

And, to stereo: I can't think of a single thing wrong with getting HL with physics, graphics and models improved, It'd be like a mini version of HL2.

Also: revamped Xen!

Pfft. Uh, if you haven't noticed, HL1 still costs money. You can still buy it on store shelves. Why would it suddenly be free to everyone?

Nobody has said anything about WHO has to pay for it. Remember when Steam started, and all you needed was an HL1 CD key to get Op4? Remember how CS1 is still free to all HL1 owners, but you can buy it off the shelf if you want to? Just because Valve is offering HL1-Source as a commercial product doesn't mean it won't be free to current Steam users. Relax until we get more details.

Screw playing HL1 first with physics, i would be itching my skin off with anticpation for 2. I think i'll get 2 play it through...cry with joy...then maybe....MAYBE....go get the source versions of the old classics, i just don't think HL1 would be that good without being seriously remade.

imagine when hl 1 and cs are going to be redone no one is going to play the old ones! why would they want to do that? when u have pysics and all the new cool stuff????

Pffft. If you don't want to pay extra, no one will force you to. It's not like they owe you a completely updated version of HL1 even if you own HL1 already.

i doubt i could stay away from HL2, but defenetly go back once im done with 2
