Half-Life Source available before Half-Life 2?

I am ever so tempted to buy the silver package. The inclusion of Half-Life Source and the ability to play CS:Source next week are very enticing to me. Yet, one thing has not been said, and this may be the clincher that will decide whether or not I buy retail or steam:

Will Half-Life: Source be available on Steam before Half-Life 2? This would be an ideal way to prepare before the big one's release, as I have personally forgotten about much of the first game. However, I don't think I or anyone here would ever play through the original with HL2 in their hands. Releasing it first on steam would be a great way to circumvent this.

So, unless this is already known and I missed it, do you think it would be worth sending an email inquiring about this? It would certainly decide my, and possibly many other's, purchase.

it should be available a few days before (if its done) to give people more of an incentive to get the silver or gold versions (instead of bronze or box) as well as a chance for us HL1 fans to play through again to get ready for the new story and game run on sentence

yeah. i dont' even care about about cs:source really. i'd much rather replay hl through source one more time before i play hl2

It's definitely done, as they sent the release candidate along with CS:S and HL2.

that doesn't mean its done. it could still have bugs. HL2 got sent and its not done yet.

Manny: They will have to go gold at pretty much the same time to be released in the same box. Thus they will both have the same window before being relased to the public. HL:S could be released in that window.

Half-Life: Source and DoD:S will be available for purchase over Steam, but not for sale in stores, at least initially. There's a chance DoD could be sold in stores at a later date, like the first Counter-Strike, but as it stands they'll only be downloads.
