"MSI RADEON XPRESS 200 Series"

I'm not sure if that card can handle HL2.

As far as I have been told, It was supposed to be able to..
It is just choppy when changing screens, and when alot of stuff is happening. Could it just be the VD card ?

It looks to be a fairly solid machine you have, but I would suggest a more powerful video card, and perhaps some more memory.

any card that you could suggest ?
Not looking to spend alot of money on any one card though..

Well, if you live in the US, everyone here seems to swear by www.newegg.com for all of their computer needs.

Other than that I wouldn't know what to recommend. I personally have a Radeon 9800 pro, but really it all depends what your budget is.

You need a new video card and another half a gig of RAM to play HL2 the way it was meant :) You shouldn't have to spend more than $200.

I'd suggest the x800GTO2 from sapphire or the 6600GT.

I have this problem. I get 50 ~ 80 fps mostly but I have this weird sudden freezes that happen on the same exact places. They last for about 10 ~ 30 seconds and it really annoying. Any help?

How can i tell what size ram do I need

Not the amount of memory, but the size of it..

umm guys the ram wouldnt be the problem its the video card. i played with 384mb ram just fine before but it was with a 5700le and it ran just fine no stutter.
