If this is indeed true I am NOT buying halflife2 (note: not buying). Its one thing to delay it for fine-tuning and bug fixing, but its another entirely to sit on a finished game so you can do a simultaneous worldwide release.

Well i think it's bullshit 2 of Valve, english is still the world most used language so why the **** wait? i'm a dutch guy and i'll be disgusted if it ever comes out in Dutch. Dunno what all those Germans and Frenchie's think of there translated games, but IMO it just suck !(like those dubbed movies!)

Yeah, I pretty much agree with you. I like to play my games without subtitles or dubbing. Subtitles in the movies are ok on the other hand.

EDIT: HL in french was pretty good IMO. Of course, the originak version was certainly better than the translated version (Nihilanth sounds ridiculous)

you can tweak a game forever and never release it if you want(look at dnf). I am going off the post on the front page, where is states that HL2 is complete. Its not like hl2.net has never gotten anything wrong, and if they are wrong then I take back this topic. but somehow it makes sense.
