Halflife 2 E3 video

Im having trouble trying to find the halflife 2 e3 footage that works. When i download it and click on it it opens media player then it plays just the sound of the video

can someone please give me a link to the right download or help me out please.

Go to www.apple.com/quicktime and download the latest free player version...try that before you attempt to download that huge file again

Maybe you should install the codecs you need for it? Try google for ffdshow and install that thing and run the video again.

and if u got problems with avis and mpegs try this great progam i found.

i download the vid then i got quicktime and now when i click on the vid for it to play with quick time it says:

could not open file "hl2_demo_trailer_full.rar" becase it is not a file quicktime understands

should i have downloaded quicktime first

please help, thanx

If it is a rar file then you need to go to www.rarlab.com and download the latest version and use that to open the file in order to extract the movie. The program works similarily to Win Zip, so you should have no trouble.

LOl.

Well that's because it's an archive file. Go download "winrar.exe", unpack (uncompress) the file, and then use Quicktime or whatever to view it.

No you need winrar. Just go to www.rarlab.com and download it. Post again if you run into any problems.

No. Zip files work with WinZip, Rar files with WinRar.
