Halflife1 included in halflife2?

Hello,

I'm thinking of buying halflife2 since my halflife1-account has been hijacked And I need a new account

BUT, I also want to be able to play halflife 1 and it's mods.
Is halflife1 included if I purchase Halflife2? Or do I have to purchase halflife1 seperatly?

Yes, you get VALVe's "Back cataloge" if you buy the silver or gold package off steam.

If you buy Half-life 2 in retail there is currently no option to get Half-Life along with it. There most likely will be an option later on to upgrade your account. You can get Half-Life and Valve's back catalog if you buy the silver version through steam.

Of course there's also the retail Collector's Edition that comes with the first Half Life...
