Do you think there should be a HalfLife2.net CS Source clan?

There are some talented CS players here, and HalfLife2.net will have one or more dedicated CS Source servers - it would seem an ideal ground on which to form a half decent clan.

Anyone up for this?

Would need a moderator or IRC opper to be the leader of course, or they could just recruit me :p

It would be kewl, but I don't think it would work "in the practice"

A public clan maybe, but I'm with you. I don't know anything about my skill today, but back then, I were de leet (;

It's a great idea.

I lead a clan on 1.6 right now..but on CS:Source, I'd love to be apart of a clan. I never really have gotten into a clan that does all sorts of practices on weekly basis and whatever. I had one clan that kicked me out cause I pwnd them too much, and they thought I used wallhacks. Like wtf, its called SOUND..

Anyways, I'd love to be in a HL2Net clan..

Good idea mate. I'd dust off my competitve spirit to fight for the greatest HL2/CSS community :)

The people that voted it's a bad idea - Can you post and explain why you voted the way you did please? I'd like to see why you think its a bad idea.

I think it would work in practice if the leader is dedicated - all you really need is talent and dedication - everything else is just a bonus.

What we could do with is a HL2.net Teamspeak server so that we can use it for in-game voice comms instead of the one VALVe implemented.

Overall it's a great idea. All we need now is someone to be a decent leader :)

Actually the in-game voice implemented by Source is much higher quality than that used in the original Half-Life engine, and surpasses TS/Vent in terms of quality.

Could you just tell me why you think a HL2.net CS Source clan is a bad idea?

Thanks

When I use teamspeak..its always ... too low volume or something...kinda hard to understand people..

I'll join up. I'm better than average on CS:CZ, so I'm assuming I'll be just as good on CS:Source.

Only voice use I heard on CS:S were the odd people mumbling with little squeeky voices or sniffing, though I'm sure I heard sidewinder shouting "ok mom, I'll be down in a minute!" ;)

I think it's a good idea but I don't want to participate (yet) because I'm not that good... LOL!

Is the clan going to be officially endorsed by the website?

This is just a poll to see who thinks its a good idea, I don't think the HalfLife2.net devs would entertain the idea of a clan unless they got 80% or so of the yes vote in here - which is why it's annoying people are voting no yet can't give any reason or explanation as to why they think it's a bad idea. It's like they have a sixth sense or something.

already been done, ask ComradeBadger :>

I vote yes, I'd like to :p Anyone from HL2.net should be able to join.

You also don't have to be awesome...I mean, I can get about 20 kills in one short game (20 mins), but I still suck. It's a learning experience :p You get better the more you play, and CS:S makes it fun to lose.

I lead my clan to many victories.. :p Too bad I'm not that good at speaking english, but I guess you'll learn that on the way? :)

I never been in a CS clan before. I used to be in clan in Call Of Duty until it went down. I think its a great idea tp have a halflife2.net clan in CS:S :) I wanna take part in it :D

Thats a pretty cool idea, ill gladly give it a try if you want me :sniper: :afro:

I've been looking for a CSS/HL2 clan. If this site has one, I'd be sure to join.

if its a clan for the fun of it then yep, if its a clan for winning then naah

(i suck :E )
