Up until now HalfLife2.Net hasn't had a lot of involvement in the mod scene, news or otherwise, bar the discussions taking place in our Half-Life 2 Development forum. We've taken a step toward pleasing the mod-enthusiast community based around the Half-Life 2 engine by incorporating a new news forum, Modification News.
A number of mod team members from various HL2 mod projects will be given access to post threads in this forum to keep the community up-to-date and show off exclusive and recent media. Each week news posts in the forum will be rounded up and reviewed, and a post will be made here for your convenience. With any luck, this feature will shortly grow to be your mod news haven.
Interest in this endevour has risen quicker than expected; we already have a number of HL2 mod teams involved who plan to keep us updated and amazed. These include Cold War: Melting Point, Junkyard Corps, Hostile Freedom, National Crisis, Neotokyo, Operation Everlasting Shadow and Resistance and Liberation. Sidewinder of CW:MP has already started the ball rolling with a few fantastic skinned vehicle renders from their highly anticipated upcoming mod.
If you're a mod team member playing the role of PR (public relations) or lead developer/founder and would like access to post news regarding your project in our Modification News forum, please do not hesitate to contact me via forum private message.
