Hey there everyone,

It's been a while since I posted in the general gaming forums, mainly because I've been busy with life in general, studies and of course, modding.

Some of you may know I have been working on several modifications for a while. After about a year and a half of work, we have finally gotten to the point where we feel like our work was ready for the public. With all that said here it is:

Hall of Mirrors - A Max Payne 2 Equilibrium TC

I am currently in the proccess of updating our webpage with the release announcement so you'll find the mirrors on the link above. If you've never heard of the mod go ahead and check out our Mod Database Profile for screenshots and information. The mod has been featured in PCGamer and many gaming websites, we have also received Moddb's Editor Choice award for Best Unreleased mod of 2005 (heh).

WOW! Downloading even tho i dont have Max Pain 2 whatever ill buy it just for this mod!
 
I've had Max Payne 2 sitting around for years now. Glad I have a reason to reinstall it.
 
Reinstalling Max Payne 2 as we speak. I've finished it about 23 times with almost every mod you can imagine.

You sire, are godlike.
 
I really want to play this mod, but I'm too lazy to reinstall MP2. I'll pay someone to come down here and install it.
 
very cool, I can't be botherd to install MP2....;( [sigh]
 
I'll reinstall MP2 just for this. :D

I need to watch Equilibrium again...

I've been modding Doom3 myself, and ran out of hard-drive space so i just un-installed Max Payne 2 like a week ago.

- but the other day, I finally installed that hard-drive I bought like 6 months ago. Just in time. :bounce:


You guys haven't bought this game yet? What the hell games have you bought? :p You can probably get MaxPayne2 for like $10 or 15.. I think i paid $12 last year for it
 
Very cool mod so far. I messed up and didnt put the bik files into the movies folder so I'm gonna go back in and learn everything about gun kata.

Gonna have to go through SP to get the full experience. It's pretty badass though. I could use gun-kata even when max only had his 9mil though :p Bullets were spraying from his empty hand :D
 
I was disappointed :( This got boring really quick to me.

- We have entered the mod into the Independent Games Festival

We are currently gauging whether to make a new version or not. It really depends on community feedback and how much interest there is. Sadly the MP2 community is very much near death and it almost seems like we'd get more attention if we started a new project/switched engines. So let us know you're still out there guys!

I would vote for you if you guys had continued working on the project; preferably making a longer version. You can do more than simply replicate scenes in the movie. Think of it like the director had to cut out scenes and that there was even more action that happened.

Okay, you probably loved the Matrix sequels.

Calling a movie homosexual just causes you to lose all respect you might've had around these parts.
 
All that said, it was a pretty gay movie. I mean come on, if Christian Bale and Sean Bean in the same movie doesn't get you hard, you're either blind or in serious denial <3

Kevin? All three of them in one place would probably cause some kind of homoerotic implosion.
 
Equilibrium was still awesome, anyone who says otherwise is wrong.
 
Equilibrium's action was cool, but the story sucked. All these "art will save the world" or "technology will destroy the world" stories written by artists make me want to gag!
