First of all, it is gold. Second of all, both of our threads were created at the same exact time (I believe my thread should stay, since I have the higher post count). Third of all, I am in no way "happy" about Halo 2 going gold. And finally, it's because you are one. jk

Your link doesn't state that is has gone gold. "Being basically done" does not mean gold. Hell, HL2 IS done, but it isn't gold.

Considering what HL2 sounds like from the reviews we have been getting I can personally say that my wait has been worth while.

Its not like Valve sat on their asses that whole time doing nothing you know? Contrary to popular belief they were working.

They have always had a seperate team for Steam. One team was always working on fixing Steam while the other was working on HL2. Once the game was done they didn't just migrate all of HL2's programmers over to Steam work.
