Halo 2 subforum?

Incase you haven't noticed, the amount of threads about Halo and Halo 2 are increasing rapidly in the Other Games forum. It'd be nice to have a separate subforum for the discussion of the game.

You did the same thing with Doom 3, and Halo 2 is at least as much in relevance with Half-Life 2 at the moment, considering all the fuzz it's been with "Halo 2 versus Half-Life 2" polls and so forth.
Besides, you made a politics forum because politics is exceptionally relevant at the moment, why not do the same thing with Halo 2 and other upcoming games? Just delete them when the popularity fades away, like you did with the Doom 3 forum.

Just a suggestion.

It's a Half-Life 2 site, if people want a Halo 2 sub-forum goto some Halo 2 forums! In my opinion anything to do with Halo 2 should be moved into the General Gaming forum.

Yeah, why not scrap Music, Film and Politics discussion while we're at it? Heck, why do we even have a Other Games, Art Discussion and all those sections? This is Halflife2.net, all we need is General Half-Life 2 discussion.

Catch my drift? This forum is so big that argument has no weight, this is becoming more and more of a general site with focus on Half-Life 2, absolutely not a HL2-exclusive forum. There are lots of people here who barely discuss HL2 at all but stay in the Lounge forums. Besides, you can't deny this forum has a very good and friendly atmosphere compared to most forums and some Halo and Halo 2 forums (which are filled with horrible fanboys), I'd rather discuss other games here than go to the equalivent site for those games as soon as there's anything I want to discuss aside from Half-Life 2.

The hype will most likely die down very soon, Doom 3 is dead now. Halo 2 will be near dead when HL2 is released for a while at least. I say "why bother?" I think we can put up with a few more for a few more days.

Halo 2 doesn't need a subforum, especially here.

Besides, HL2 will still be around when Halo 2 is a pleasant memory next to Duke Nukem 3D

It needs one more than Doom 3 did - which, let's face it, died as soon as the game was released :/

The flamming and vs threads are getting silly. (it'd be worth it just to clear out the games forum)

I'm with Pi Mu Rho, I'd rather delete all the halo 2 threads. The main reason why I want a Halo 2 forum is because the general game chat is becoming a halo 2 forum. So IMO you should either delete all the threads, close them or move them to a halo 2 forum.

What's the point? There'll be 2 or 3 new halo 2 threads each day for the next few days then it'll just die out.

Just keep them in general gaming.

If people are really keen to talk about halo 2 in more depth, there are plenty of other halo 2 dedicated sites.

Unfortunately I don't think this will stop the Halo forums, most of them being posted are there for "comparing" Halo 2 and Half-Life 2. Problem is this new forum is meant more for discussing just Halo 2 itself. So any "vs" threads will probably still end up in general discussion.
