Well, as much as I disliked the game, the movie probably will turn pretty damn A-ok.

What? He's an executive producer, not the director. A bad director could still screw it up.

Though with people of talent on board, that risk is reduced, granted.

I wouldn't be surprised if they were having trouble finding a director before Jackson jumped on board (they might find it easier now), no quality directors in their right mind would want to touch a video-game adaptation.
