It's been released in a few stores. I heard you can get it in Wal-Mart and a few others that don't care about release dates. They just put it out when they get it.

Heard you get 35fps avg on a 9800pro in 1024 res, which in my own opinon is unacceptable considering it can run on a 150 quid xbox.

Its still a great game, and the multiplayer is great too. There is a fps problem though. I get decent fps at 1024x768 8x a/f

ya know.... "beta" generally means an un optomized verison of a game. Usally, when you play a beta, the rendering paths aren't 100% complete. Thus lower fps than you get with the real verion, the legal version.

Dude, I have a Amd XP 2500+ and a Radeon 9600 pro. I can run it with graphics turned ALL the way on at 1024X768. I don't know what card you have, but the 9600 pro is on sale for $150 here(I bought it the day before the sale for $200, damn damn damn).

It looks really good, but the gameplay is lacking. You just walk around shoting these aliens. No story, well there is sort of one... nothing compared to HL. I enjoyed HL1 much more than Halo. I got bored about half way through the game... haven't played it since.

I dont understand why this chuggs so bad. It's not that its doing anything outstanding that your machine couldn't handle, its more a case of it just being a sloppy conversion IMO. If my machine can run Desert Combat, UT2003 and a host of other games all on max settings @ 1024X768 then why the hell does this struggle to pull 27FPS @ 800x600....

My graphics card is a 64mb one im guessing your runnin on a 128mb right? Have you played the MP part? Thats the main reason i wanna get it i may wait and buy something else or wait for the demo not sure though.
