Anyone wanna help fizzlephox with making a mod? If you do just respond here and tell what you have experience/knowledge of (art, programming, creative writing, medieval history, mythology etc.) although if you're willing to just try and help that's good too.

Within a week I should have a website and extensive design treatment up on the internet explaining the finer points of our mod. That's right I said our mod, because anyone who helps will have a say in the overall gameplay and their views will be seriously considered and implemented if deemed good.

So?

It might help if you posted at least a small overview of what your mod is all about (assuming you have some sort of idea to start it off).

Yes I have an idea to start it off with, and yes it would help if I posted a small overview. So I'll write up a small summary and post it in a bit, but what I want to know right now mainly is if there's anyone out there willing to work on a mod period.

Ok here's the basis of the mod. It's centered on melee combat utilizing the physics engine and a fantasful setting modeled after an Imperial/Industrial setting (kinda like some of the Final Fantasy games, VI and VII).

For example if you're armed with a halberd you attack slow but your weapon has longer reach and if you succesfully land a blow it'll impact the player and cause him to get swung back or fall, small swords attack fast but they don't impact the player as much etc.

One of the hardest things will be getting the melee combat engine right. But If we can get it made I know it would be a great accomplishment and give all those involved great experience in game development.

There would also be a splitting Class system. Like after 5 kills as a thief you can become and archer or an assasin etc.

And yes I do bring things to the table and will not just be a Lead Mod Designer who tells other people what to do.

I can explain it a lot better later and if anyone has any suggestions you can just post it here.
