Halps troubleshooting this comp

So my friend dumped his Dell laptop on me to "fix". Just told me that his "internet doesn't work", which low and behold, doesn't work!

Thing is I can connect to my wireless router just fine, but no browsers will actually load any pages.

Cleaned all the spyware shit using some program called A squared. Haven't really bothered hitting it with a virus cleaner yet. So yeah, I have no ****ing clue what's wrong with this thing. I don't know shit about troubleshooting networking crap.

Interestingly, the last thing in his IE history is a bunch of porn sites...

Helps pls?

Lol, sorry, I just reread my original post and realized how ****ing vague my request is, but srsly, just shoot out all sorts of random shit that you think could be wrong. Like I said, I know jack nothing about network shit, so I just need something to start at least trying to fix.

K, well, I can ping the router just fine, but I can't connect to it through a browser.

WTF

Already tried renewing all that winsock shit, no dice.
