Seeyas on the Other Side. :P

This may get me out of a cross country meet on Saturday!

When life gives other people devastating tropical lemons...

What are those giant red nine's doing in the ocean?

"When god gives you lemons, you FIND A NEW GOD!"

AnywhoooOO

That sucks, man. :(

Have fun! I'm going to get sideswiped by Hanna in a couple of days, but I doubt it will be hurricane-force all the way here in central NC. One can only hope! Ike's looking like he's gonna be a monster too. Every year is getting worse with hurricanes now, if things continue at this rate then it's going to be intense in a decade or so.

Northern Virginia usually doesn't see much at all. Some high winds, very heavy rain, some downed trees, slight debris and power outages is the worst I've ever seen. The worst of it is surely on Virginia Beach.

looks like florida's ****ed by apostrophes.

Whenever I type Florida I taste orange juice.

Well it seems very likely that the met's already been canceled.... :D

Looks like Hanna's veered left/inland a bit and based on the current projection (at 11am) it looks like I'm going to get more of it than I thought. If you look at that map I live about midway between Charlotte and Wilmington, but a bit further north than either of those. Which puts me pretty much straight in the projected path for the mid part of the storm :D

BRING IT ON!

PS: It's started drizzling outside about 30 minutes ago, I don't know if it's Hanna-related or not.

Ike looks like it is a headin' for me. Just got done with Fay.

Since when did Ike become female? And speaking of Ike, it looks like it went south since this morning. Tampa is looking in the clear.

God is angry at the US.

Or maybe its Africa thats mad at us. They're the ones sending them all over here.

Hanna was pretty uneventful. Some pretty heavy winds in the early AM and a shitload of rain but for the most part there are only branches / leaves down, not trees or structure damage.

I just saw an advisory that said Ike was heading into the Gulf. \o/
