Well, the lunar new year. :p

On this occasion nearly 80+% of the entire population of Korea (50+ million) moves to visit their relatives and to get drunk and party. Unfortunately, it is illegal for me to get drunk and party, so I'll probably just eat whole lot of traditional food and fried chicken, whilst being high on Coca-Cola.

:D

Heh, for the next few days pretty much most of the city shops will be shut down and prices jacked sky high... if it wasn't for the days off I'd hate it (not a big fan of family gatherings). But hey, on the bright side we do get to collect Red Pockets for some extra cash... hehe.

I thought this was celebrated on the 18th this year in China? Is it a different celebration altogether in Korea?

No idea about Korea but you are correct about China... I always assumed it was the same date. :)

My real birthday is today, but my lunar birthday (according to the Hindu calendar) is on 27th Feb.
