Hard Drive failing?

Last week after taking my computer home from college, I suddenly had a locking up problem in which the computer would lock up less than a minute after windows loaded, often at the login screen. I reformated and during installation of windows, the same lockup happens. I think one of my hard drives somehow got damaged in the move, can anyone confirm this?

I have 2 Maxtor 120 GB in raid 0

Easiest way to find out would be to format and install on one HD at a time. If it happens on one and not the other, then yeh, I'd say its broke.

Probably yes, it's broken. I heard Maxtor's are of low quality and they aren't very well liked so it's a good possibility it broke. If it is broken, go Western Digital like I did.

Well you have them in Raid 0 so it's hard to say if the drives themselves are heading south. Sometimes a Raid array will fail and you will loose your data and have to set it up again while the harddrive is in OK condition.

You probably don't have any of your files since it failed but generally at any sign of a failure I always backup my stuff asap.
