Hardest part

So whats the hardest part of the game?
I'd say when I had to defend Alyx on that square with combine all over the place (Anticitizen One).

for me, the part where you have to fight two gunships - without cover - before you enter nova prospekt was the hardest. had to quick load about 6 times

I agree. Trying to keep your squad mates alive on hard during that part can up the difficulty level to insane for me. :sniper:

That was one of the best sequences in a game that I have evar played.

Turret Rushes

Setting up the turrets and defending in Nova Prospekt was very tough, consuming lots and lots of ammo, health, and suit energy - even with the chargers present.

The most tedious and often restarted part was dropping pallets and debris to go step-by-step across the sand between the Lighthouse and NP.

For some reason I had the hardest time on that rooftop where you have to take down two striders and there's combine all around. Maybe I'm just no good with the rocket launcher.

definately the part where you have to fight your way to the horse statue through a blown out building, fighting off enemy soldiers from every side, striders blasting away at the place until reaching the rocket cache.

1. The part in Nova prospekt where you have to wait for Alyx and protekt yourselfe with the turrets.

2. The part in city 17 where combine soldiers just kept coming and you had to defend Alyx.

3. The museum, and entering it.

I also think the citadel was a little hard.

Second turret fight in Nova Prospekt. Just kept dying and dying and dying until I started camping in the turret room with all my turrets around me (forming a half-circle ). I just had to try it so I actually had 9 turrets in the last turret fight, combine didn't stand a chance.

I agree with ace55...although I didn't get much further than that, so I'm hopeing things get worse!!!

Two gunships just before Nova prospect... they take 6 or 7 rockets on hard.

Then, the second turret defense was insanely hard, though I didn't know turrets can be picked back up!

Honorable mention to the part where you fight through buildings in Follow Freeman, I think, with all the Striders.

The second tower defense...i just ducked in a the turret thingy,put turrets outside,reloaded my shotguns and did a bit of twitch based killin

the hardest part was where you had to defend alyx while she was unshielding the first generator,imo(she mostly died on the run to the gate X_X)
