Hardware Temperatures, worrying

I downloaded Nvidia Monitor which checks your frequences/temps/fan speeds. Specs in my sig

The temperatures for my computer:

IDLE (celcius)

CPU: 46 (60 under load)
System: 45
GPU: 72 (80-85 under load)

I think this is pretty damn hot and i wonder if it could damage my hardware over time. Is this normal? I increased my fan speed to 85 % during 3D applications but it doesnt seem to effect it much...

well it kinda depends on what your cpu and gpu are but those temps look alright

system looks a bit hot but not cereal hot.

I have 3 case fans. One 140 sucking in cool air, one 120 blowing out hot air, and another 120 sucking in cool air. I can add an 80 which im gona do later, and im planning on buying this:

ya i dont see a problem either,but that 8800 is causing all the heat so that pci fan will help out a bit.

What about hard drives? 43+ would worry me.

it depends on the hard drive you have. my seagate 200gb 7200rpm drive is at 42 C now but my 2 western digitals at 160gb and 7200rpm are at 34C

Nothing is too hot that it would cause an issue. CPU temp could be lower but you'd have to go up to 70C before your PC would auto shut-down or 80+ C to damage the CPU. Graphics card @ 85C is fine, they can get a lot hotter.

Your air flow is a little off balance. Lot of intake air but only 1 120mm rear fan? It probably isn't getting rid of the hot air as fast as you would like.

I wouldn't get the fan thing you linked. If it blows air out, a lot of your 'cool' air will be leaving and not helping your CPU temp drop since the fan is in the bottom half of the case. If it sucks air in, you don't want the hot air from behind the PC to be sucked back in (that's where all the hot air gets blown to from the rear and PSU fans). Fans in expansion slots generally don't help.

If anything you want a better heatsink/fan cooler for your CPU and/or a faster 120mm rear fan. But it isn't needed. Unless your PC is unstable?

Take pictures of your Case with te side open & take another picture of your comptuer case in it's default location.

It might be easier to solve the problem if we can see how air is being directed, or possibly how air is (or isn't) circulating outside the case.

Asus: The cooler i linked to is going to be positioned right underneith the 8800 so the fan which sucks hot air in and blows it out of the case will be right under the 8800 exaust so it will suck the heat right out of it. The second fan will blow straight into the 8800 fan, in the reviews they describe that it helps tremendously.

So i guess its nothing to worry about but the thing is that i will SLI it plus il get another 2 GB ram so its gona get even hotter.
